About BTY Games

Our Mission
01

The Beginning

BTY Games was born from a simple observation: the indie scene was missing studios willing to tackle mature, thought-provoking themes without compromising on gameplay depth. We started in 2024 with a shared vision—create games that respect the player's intelligence and emotional maturity.

02

Our Philosophy

We believe games are one of the most powerful storytelling mediums of our time. Unlike passive media, games give players agency—the power to shape narratives, face moral dilemmas, and experience consequences. We harness this unique strength to create worlds where every choice matters.

03

What Drives Us

We're inspired by the games that dared to be different—titles that challenged players to think, feel, and question. Our goal isn't to chase trends or viral success, but to build a catalog of experiences that stand the test of time. We measure success not in sales charts, but in the conversations our games spark.

What We Stand For

🎯

Purposeful Design

Every mechanic, every line of dialogue, every visual choice serves the experience. We don't add features for the sake of it—we ask "why does this matter to the player?"

🧠

Intellectual Honesty

We tackle complex themes without oversimplifying. War, survival, morality, identity—these aren't black and white, and neither are our narratives. We trust players to navigate ambiguity.

🎨

Artistic Integrity

We're not chasing the next big trend. Our art direction, soundscapes, and narratives reflect our vision, not market research. We believe bold, cohesive artistic choices create memorable experiences.

🤝

Community Partnership

Our players aren't just consumers—they're collaborators. We listen, iterate, and build games alongside the communities that believe in our vision. Your feedback shapes what we create.

"In an industry increasingly driven by microtransactions and endless live services, we're building something different: finite, focused experiences that respect your time and intelligence. Games that you'll remember not for their length, but for their impact."

— The BTY Games Team

Meet The Team

Behind every great game is a team of passionate creators. We're a small but dedicated group of industry veterans and rising talents, united by a shared vision: make games that matter.

Carles Garcia

Carles Garcia

Creative Director & Founder

Carles spent 15 years working on AAA titles before founding BTY Games. After leading narrative design on multiple award-winning RPGs, they realized their true calling was creating intimate, player-driven stories outside the constraints of massive studios.

Expertise: Narrative design, system design, worldbuilding. Carles specializes in creating emergent storytelling systems where player choices genuinely reshape the narrative.

Passion Project: "I'm obsessed with games that make you question your own morality. If our games make you pause before a decision, we've succeeded."

Jordan Chen

Bonobo 1

Lead Programmer & Systems Architect

Jordan is the technical backbone of BTY Games. With a background in AI research and gameplay programming, they bring cutting-edge tech to indie development. Jordan's custom tools and pipelines are what make our small team punch above our weight.

Expertise: Gameplay programming, AI systems, procedural generation, optimization. Jordan built our proprietary dialogue system from scratch, allowing for unprecedented narrative complexity.

Philosophy: "Technology should serve the experience, not define it. I love solving impossible technical challenges that most would say can't be done in indie."

Past Credits: Senior Programmer at TechForge Games, AI Research at MIT Media Lab, Solo dev on "Recursion" (2021)
Sam Martinez

Bonobo 2

Art Director & Visual Designer

Sam's artistic vision defines the look and feel of BTY Games. Coming from a fine arts background before transitioning to games, they bring a painter's eye to every frame. Sam's work has been featured in gaming art exhibitions worldwide.

Expertise: Concept art, environmental design, color theory, lighting. Sam crafts atmospheric worlds that tell stories without a single word—every shadow, every color palette is intentional.

Vision: "I want our games to feel like stepping into a living painting. Art isn't decoration—it's atmosphere, mood, and storytelling."

Past Credits: Lead Artist on "The Grey City" (2019), Freelance concept artist for Indie Collective, MFA in Digital Arts
